Chat & Cam with your friends! (beta)

Anyway.. Now I do have your attention, I wanted to tell you a bit about our latest feature which was something so many people asked for:

Realtime Chat and Cam! (beta)
As a member you can contact all your onilne friends and chat with them just like you do on facebook or any other realtime messenger.

But, we also added something cooler!
Gold Members can initiate a 2-way Webcam Chat with any other befriended member.

Thats one more great reason to upgrade now! (besides all the other great features ofcourse ;)

You Like??

Ok.. so.. I got lots of great requests for new features. Thank you very much!!!
One of the key requests, and also something we want to do for a long time, is a different style of voting. As many of you know.. it is very demotivating to post something for the first time, and then some tool decides to downvote your post (rating it 1s).

Now, we fixed that. From now on you can 'Like' a post. If you don't like it...well, then don't push the button. We're sure this is a more friendly way to vote which will get more people to post something which gives everybody more to look at ;-)

We also changed the Hall of Fame calculation so it gives a better view of what is reallllly the most popular post. We're currently converting the old ratings to Like's so please dont' worry if your post don't have any likes yet.. they will come ;)

I am talking with Jimi which features we should develop first, Now, maybe there is something you have in mind. If you had a choice, what would be your top 5? and why?

Webcam girls spam

Are they hitting you up? There seems to be an increase in webcam models trying to lure in people from Adultism. I am deleting their accounts left and right, but I need your help to find them though ;)

They want you to contact them over msn/ email or yahoo it seems
Please report them to us so we can remove them to keep Adultism for Amateurs...

Notification emails fixed

Not intentionally, since the end of last week we have been sending email notifications about site events even to those members who didn't want them. Sorry about that. The problem is fixed now. Have a good weekend :)

How many of you know how to close the top ad?

I've just been reading some comments about how annoying the HUGE top ad is. I am sure it is, if you keep it opened all the time! It was designed to be noticed, but after seeing it once, you can just click on the top right corner, and it will be gone (almost). I hope this helps. Jimi

Adultism offering: Gold Membership part 2

As you will understand, running a website like Adultism is costly. For example, we need 5 servers to keep the site fast. Adultism currently hosts over 1 million pictures and over 40.000 movies and is visited by over 130.000 people a day. Because we moved to a new host the site loads even faster and we can accept movies up to 1Gb! Many of the features requested need a lot of bandwith. Therefor we came up with the following solution: you can now upgrade to a Gold Membership to enjoy Adultism without any limits!

Adultism now offers Gold Membership part 1

Just to make one thing clear: Adultism is and will stay free. We haven't removed any features which were previously available free to force people in any form of payment. That is not what we believe good business.

As you might have noticed, we don't run any ads on the site. This to keep everything focused on 1 thing: the user (means: You!) At Adultism we believe that by creating a site where users decide what and what not to share and with who, plus having total control over your own submitted content, we will get the best amateur community site on the web!

Adultism offering: Gold Membership part 3

Often we got requests for features which were simply to expensive to offer. Fortunately now we can. We can even create new features for everybody which we will soon introduce. To name a few: Chat ;-) submitting own stories, extended user profiles, find people by interest, submitters decide if their images can be saved, place contact ads and many more.
