Resize your pictures?

Sometimes I get questions from users that they can't upload their pics as they're over a certain size. Todays digital cameras make pics up to 15mb. Which, if you would print them would be basically the size of your house. But, these are way to be big for the web (computer monitors only go up to 1920 pixels if you've advanced stuff. And most websites (including Adultism) is intented for a resolution of around 1000 pixels wide.

So I advise people to resize their pictures to a max 2000 pixels wide or high.

There are several easy tools to do this. One of them (if you're a PC user) is Image Resizer. This tool allows you to right click any image and resize it. Very nifty.

Mailbox issue: fixed ;)

Hi guys, the problem where it appeared that mailboxes were being full while they weren't seems fixed.

Message box full messages?

hi,
I got some msges from users saying that when they send a PM, they get a message stating that the 'users message box is full', but when they resend the message, it goes through fine.

Please let us know if you're experiencing the same problem, but please be aware that sometimes the users mailbox is actually full.

Just a tip: Check your own message box once in a while and see if it isn't full, by deleting messages you can receive new messages again (default message box goes up to a 100).

We're working on getting an option for unlimited messages, but that takes a bit of time (and more computers to store all the information).

Downloading your own images

Hi! From now on it is possible to download images from your own posts, including higher resolution pics. If you loose an image on your computer, you can get back to Adultism and get it from us :)

View posts, new and improved, now with added picture protection

Lots of posters requested this... so we build it ;-)

The view post page has been improved a lot we think. Here are some new functions:
1. the back button works ;-)
2. you can navigate through the pics with your arrow keys or with your mouse
3. speed... the images preload so that makes a big difference
4. image protection.
A lot of posters asked this because they don't want their images being copied and posted on other sites, or being used by imposters. We believe that by creating a community where the people who post images and movies feel safe and secure about their content, the community will get much more in return because the people will be much more willing to share their personal content. Which is something we all want ;)

Clean start with friend requests

Hi there!

OK, so we have been looking around our database here and there and found that some of you were having 1500 pending friend requests or more... which is kind of weird. I can't imagine a person who would have the patience to review so many of them :) ... Anyway, sending out friend requests to every single member of the site is a kind of spam, so we decided that Adultism needs to take measures to prevent it. So, from now on, if you are sending out a lot of friend requests, and most of them are being ignored, you will be kindly asked to have some patience and give your friends time to respond. To make it feel more like a fresh start, we have reset all counters to zero :) Happy surfing!
